![]() I think MMCs in particular are pretty common from clotting disorders, but I tend to think it's also how most MCs go once they get past the really early stage and the placenta starts forming. I know the trying something different thing, it was important for me to do that too because I was feeling crazy after infertility then two losses, it was like wtf? Really hope you'll also find success, sounds like you haven't dug into it much so there are definitely things to try. They should test for at minimum a group like antiphospholipid antibodies, lupus anticoagulant, Factor V Leiden mutation, MTHFR mutations and/or homocysteine levels, protein S, protein C, prothrombin, can't remember the full list but just know it's never complete because there are a lot of them. We are certain our dates were right and we were 7 weeks and some days but the dr said we could be behind or this could be a non vial pregnancy. Personally I have protein S deficiency, not a particularly common one. We had our first appointment on April 24th, we were optimistic but after the scan the dr told us that there was only a yolk sac, no baby and no heartbeat. Some people go on Lovenox after RPL despite not finding anything, just to see if that helps. Obviously you want to look for as many as possible (it will still only be the most common stuff most likely). Going to enjoy a few glasses of wine tonight and research any further options we have for treating RPL.Ĭlotting disorders can be a large number of tests or small - depends how many they check for. It wasn't a surprise but it is still hard to accept. The sac had collapsed and there was no sign of an embryo. ![]() Unfortunately no miracle for us this time around. Update for anyone that comes across this and wanted to know the outcome. If anyone has any suggestions, stories (successful or otherwise) or words of advice you could kindly share I would appreciate it. I really thought we had a chance this time. Seriously tempted to break out a bottle of wine, but not if there was a chance this could still work out.Īfter a mmc in 2016, 7 chemical pregnancies and two failed transfers since, this is rough news to take. They said dates could be off but with IVF is that even possible? My clinic wont give a definitive answer based on their report and have referred me for another scan in a week. Due to the size of the embryo they wont call it a miscarriage yet. They saw the sac and embryo but no heartbeat. The doc at the clinic couldn't see the embryo so sent me to a proper radiology place. Today I had a scan at what was supposed to be 7 weeks. Thanks for reading.I'm pretty sure I know the outcome here but would appreciate input. If you're a praying person, I'll take that too. I thought my cycles were regular, but it turns out that of my last 4 cycles, the lengths were 28 days, 26 days, 30 days, 26 days - perhaps I am less far along than I thought.Īny advice or encouragement (or good baby vibes) appreciated. I was also doing some math this morning, and I think the conception date could potentially be off. Has anyone had an ultrasound at around 7 weeks, and found that there was no detectible heartbeat - and if so, was your baby okay? If only we could have heard the heartbeat, I would feel so much better. ![]() She said if I was still worried in 2-3 weeks, I could ask for another ultrasound. The midwife said that many women experience bleeding in the first trimester, and because it is not heavy and I have no cramping, I shouldn't be concerned. ![]() It could be that the baby is yet too small. I had an early scan at between 6 and 7 weeks (probably nearer 7) 16 years ago with a transabdominal scan and they found a heartbeat. At 7 weeks theres a chance this would still be the case. I called my midwife later in the afternoon, and she said that they received the ultrasound results and they could not determine if there was a heartbeat. Sometimes if baby is still low in pelvic bone they need to do a TV scan to get a clear picture. Knowing that many people get to see the heartbeat and take photos of the ultrasound at this stage, I was very concerned. I was not allowed to see the screen, and she did not share any information about what she saw. I had an ultrasound yesterday at 7w3d, and the technician was very, very quiet. There are tiny globs or either mucus or small clots (hard to tell) sometimes, not every time I check. Not enough to even appear on a panty liner, but does show on toilet paper (ranging from brown to pink to red). I have been experiencing bleeding/spotting since Monday night (it's now Thursday morning). Hi bumpers, looking for some reassurance or experiences.
